Today, I bought some toothpaste. No kidding, I bought toothpaste. Other stuff too, but that seemed the most mundane thing to start a blog post with, making it the most amusing thing I could think of. Plus I would really prefer not to make every post completely and totally about France. Yeah, yeah, I know it's a France-themed blog, but I feel less obsessive if I say at least one un-France-related thing. Oblige me here, oh my audience of...three people?
Anyway, I guess since the last time I posted, we've passed under the one month mark. My final total stateside month is behind me. Ye-e-eah, that's about a seven on the freaky scale. I like to be very reserved with the freaky scale. That way if the airline loses my luggage, and a hobo steals my passport, AND I trip and concuss myself at get amnesia...then I can use the number ten. Of course, if I have amnesia, I will not be able to remember my password. Meaning I could not even log into this blog to TELL you that I've hit a ten on the freaky scale. Long amnesia-related digressions aside, I take off in 24-ish days. Savor my presence, people! ^_^
It's getting back to that "not much to do but wait" phase of things. My scholarship application is out of my hands now, which makes me happy. After all, how much more paperwork can there POSSIBLY be? I guess the only thing I've really got to get accomplished, aside from reading the last seven months of "A Year in Provence" and doing that silly book report, is buying my train ticket. And that, fate seems to have decided, is going to be difficult.
The rest of my folks bought theirs at the book party today that I couldn't go to because I was working. They so-very-kindly linked me the information for the train so that we wouldn't get separated, and my computer either doesn't like the link or it wasn't the kind of link that you can get to from a simple click.
So let's put train ticket on the top of the to-do list.
TO DO LIST:
1) Train ticket!!!
2) Finish book
3) Write book report.
Number four was update blog, but I checked that off. w00t.
Yay for accomplishment. I'm gonna go have a celebratory sandwich. Jealous, right? Get your own sandwich, you slacker.

Sandwiches in Mexico are weird. I would much prefer an American one right now. Also, I'd like to be able to flush toilet paper again. I can't wait to get to the airport in Philly....
I find it kinda funny that you're freaking out so much, because I didn't. Then again, I've been abroad several times before, I suppose, so I sort of know what's going on. You'll be fine, though, I promise.
